Leica M10 in Black and White – Dark and Moody

Leica M10 underexposed

I was reading a review of the Leica M10 by a photographer that had been putting it through its paces over the last three months.

I was particularly taken with some dark and moody Black & Whites he had taken.

Now with my Leica M4 I generally shoot black and white, also with my Leica M8 I shoot black and white but with the M10 I have been shooting mainly colour.

With amazing colour like this below you can see why.

In side the church I was shooting medium format on my tripod but took a three quick snapshots with my Leica M10.

The first shot was at 1/30 second wide open with my 24mm Elmar-M.  Its under exposed but reasonably sharp.  The second two shots were blurred but at least correctly exposed.

The top shot I did recover a little with the fantastic DR available with the M10 but I left it dark to keep it moody.

Gardening DIY

The warmer weather reappeared this weekend so we finally got the new support for the climbing roses built.  We still have a lot of work to do on the garden to get it like we want but then when it comes to gardening there is always work to do.

Punctures the enemy of motorcyclists

I had the misfortune to get a puncture this week.  I managed to get home but then had to use Caroline’s Honda till I could get a new rear tire.

I picked up a can of tire weld which managed to seal the puncture long enough to get to the garage and get the rear tire replaced.

iOS 11 Released

Today iOS and WatchOS is released.  The phone version has some nice touches but the iPad version really improves things.  It took me a little while to figure out how to use the new split screen and floating screen functions but its now a much more useful device for power users.

House hold DIY

We are after building some some supports to grow climbing roses up to shield the oil tank from the rest of the garden.  SO this weekend we had a trip to the word merchant and the local DIY store to get the materials we need.  So hopefully the next weekend will be fine so we can get it built.

Bungay Church

During the holiday we made a trip to Bungay, there is a nice fabric shop there, so while Caroline was indulging in some retail therapy I had a wonder round the local church to take a few snaps.
